TCOT Podcast Episode 026 - Angry Dead Man
Season 4, Episode 18
Originally Aired - February 25, 1961
The Case of the Podcast is a Perry Mason Fan Podcast. We love and enjoy episodes from a tv show from the late 1950’s and early 1960. It’s so old, it was filmed in Black & White.
This is the random episode from season four that we are choosing at random using a random number generator. We will be choosing our episodes this way season by season. We’re excited by this new process which will give each season a chance to shine.

Sidenote: When did they start calling it the IRS? The Commissioner of Internal Revenue was created in 1862 to assess the nation’s first income tax to fund the American Civil War. The temporary measure expired a decade later. In 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment authorized Congress to impose a tax on income and led to the creation of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. In 1953, the agency was renamed the Internal Revenue Service. Interesting that Della called it the Bureau. The Bureau of Internal Revenue is now named for the agency that assesses income tax in the Phillipines.

The Nesbitt cabin on the lake should seem familiar to Perry and Della. According to billp, Perry stayed there in the TCOT Angry Mourner. It was also used in TCOT Watery Witness. it may have had some connection to the studio, cast or crew. Anyone notice that?
One goof: Lloyd Castle, on the stand, refers to Jenny Bartlett as Miss Barton. Did anyone notice that? Later, Perry correctly calls her Miss Bartlett.
Next week we week we will cover:
