Dr. Renault might have been a quack, but the man who played him, James Maloney, was a stand up kinda guy. So much so, they named a building after him. The main building of the theater department at Central Connecticut State University is named after James Maloney. He was an avid proponent of their fine arts program and the college is located in the town of his birth, New Britain Connecticut.
